New Beginnings…
Sometimes life throws curveballs – we have relocated yet again, back to the Chicagoland area. Back where there are four seasons, friends, and roots. We leave endless summer days and beloved babies, who will who we will endlessly travel back to one door closes. Another door opens. This is how my panache life passes through time. When buying a new house, we look at the foundation to see if it is strong and firm, and it got me to thinking about how all of the elements in my new home that needed a strong and firm foundation. Including our rugs. Nothing cozies up a room faster than an area rug that defines our living space. Of course our rugs need a great floor, but they also need a rug pad.
Why do I need a rug pad?

EXPERT TIP— is to use a felt marker to make guidelines on where to cut.
Routine cleaning frequency depends on how much foot traffic the rug receives. Best practice is to vacuum the felt pad itself and underneath the pad yearly. Smaller rug mats such as door mats and runner sizes can be shaken or vacuumed every few weeks.
